Commissioner Lo Wai-chung led a five-member delegation to visit the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) between March 17 and 20.

Mr Lo, on behalf of the Hong Kong Police Force, signed a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on combating transnational crime with Commissioner-General of the KNPA Mr Min Gab-ryong. This shows the determination of the two police forces to continue to promote closer collaboration and partnership.

Mr Lo emphasised that the collaboration would place both forces in a much more advantageous position to combat transnational crime, particularly cyber and technology crime and international terrorism, with the assistance of digital policing.

The delegation also visited the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, the Korean National Police University and the Korea Internet and Security Agency. They exchanged views with their counterparts on the use of digital technology for strengthening policing as well as combating of cyber crime.
