Under the arrangement of Crime Wing Headquarters, Chief Inspector Fung Pui-kei led 14 officers from District Investigation Teams (DITs) to visit Foshan from March 11 to 14.

The DIT officers visited a number of local criminal investigation units, including the Criminal Investigation Department and the Forensic Science Centre of Foshan Municipal Public Security Bureau, Foshan Centre for Combating Telecommunication Fraud and Cyber Crime as well as DNA Research and Testing Institute to better understand the development of criminal investigation techniques on the Mainland.

The visit enabled the DIT officers to broaden their horizons and learn how Foshan officers applied technology such as the facial recognition system and DNA forensic examination to police work and in criminal investigation.
