Tuen Mun District (TMDIST) held the Harmony Cup 2019 jointly with Tuen Mun District Fight Crime Committee (TMDFCC) at Chu Hai College of Higher Education, Hong Kong on February 17 to promote racial harmony and mutual assistance. Over 80 students from local schools joined the event.


This year, the students competed for the Harmony Cup by taking part in physical and intellectual games including group activities and a quiz. To attract more participants, the quiz was held in different languages, including Chinese, English and Urdu. The games fostered integration and mutual support between local and non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) students. The students also showed a high degree of co-operation in the event.


The awards were presented by Chairman of TMDFCC Mr Lee Hung-sham, member of TMDFCC Mr Chan Sau-lun, Vice President (Research) Professor Yu Siu-hung and Dean of Student Affairs of Chu Hai College Ms Wong Oi-wan, imam of a mosque in Fu Tai Estate Hafiz Mohammad Shahbaz and a NEC Fight Crime Ambassador in Tuen Mun Hafiz Mohammad Zahid.
