Regional Commander of New Territories North (RC NTN) Kwok Yam-yung presided over the annual parade of the Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol (HKRSP) (New Territories North Region) at the Police Tactical Unit's headquarters on March 3. Nearly 400 HKRSP members from 16 primary and secondary schools and two elderly teams as well as guests attended the event.

Mr Kwok praised the HKRSP members for their vibrant spirit and orderly march, which demonstrated a high level of discipline and teamwork. He said Traffic NTN and HKRSP (New Territories North Region) co-organised "Project EyesOn" from last November to enhance HKRSP members' knowledge of traffic laws and provide a platform for them to report traffic offences. The members have so far reported 50 cases, about 40 per cent of which have been referred to related departments for follow-up action. Mr Kwok encouraged HKRSP members to continue to support the project to enhance road safety.

Meanwhile, Mr Kwok expressed his sincere gratitude to the team supervisors of the HKRSP for their significant contribution to promoting road safety. They not only dedicated themselves to training student patrol members, but also worked with the Police in disseminating road safety messages to people from all walks of life.
