Wong Tai Sin District (WTSDIST) and Wong Tai Sin District Fight Crime Committee (WTSDFCC) jointly organised the award presentation ceremony of WTSDIST Outstanding Police Officer Commendation Scheme 2018 on February 22 in appreciation of officers' exceptional work performance. The event also aimed to encourage officers to strive to enhance the quality of service to the public.

Over 200 local community leaders, residents and stakeholders, including Chairman of WTSDFCC Mr Simon Wong, Chairman of Wong Tai Sin District Council Mr Li Tak-hong and District Officer (Wong Tai Sin) Ms Annie Kong attended the ceremony to show their support.

Fourteen individuals and four squad units of WTSDIST were commended. Patrol Sub-Unit 3 (PSU 3) and District Investigation Team 7 (DIT 7) were presented with the Excellent PSU Award and the Excellent DIT Award respectively in recognition of the officers' unity and professionalism.

WTSDIST Commander Tsang Yim-sheung congratulated the awardees and complimented their hard work. She thanked the community for its solid support to the Police. She also encouraged the stakeholders to maintain close contact with various units of WTSDIST, and to continue to give advice and support to the Police in respect of crime prevention and community policing.
