Under the arrangement of the Hong Kong Police College and the Personnel Wing, Chief Inspector Chan Ching-yin led a delegation to visit the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) between March 11 and 15. The other delegates were four Senior Inspectors, four Sergeants and 11 Police Constables.
The delegation called on the Central Police Academy, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and the National Forensic Service to exchange views and share experience with local police officers on integrity management, policing challenges and some other policing topics. The delegates also visited two police stations where local frontline officers introduced their equipment such as stun guns and electronic traffic ticketing machines.
The visit not only enabled the delegates to gain insights into KNPA's work, but also strengthened their rapport with the Korean counterparts.
