The Kick-off Ceremony of Fight Crime and Anti-drug Activities in Tsuen Wan District 2019/2020, jointly held by Tsuen Wan District (TWDIST), Tsuen Wan District Fight Crime Committee (DFCC) and the Yuen Yuen Institute Social Service Department, and co-organised by Tsuen Wan District Office, took place at a shopping mall in Tsuen Wan on July 9.


During the ceremony, TWDIST appointed 150 Fight Crime Ambassadors, including members of Junior Police Call (JPC) and Senior Police Call, non-ethnic Chinese teenagers and local students, to assist the Police in promoting the themes of the fight crime campaign, namely "Beware of Online Fraud", "Guard Against Sexual Assault" and "No Drugs". TWDIST JPC members staged a drama at the ceremony to spread anti-crime and anti-drug messages.


Officiating at the ceremony included TWDIST Commander Kerry Carew, Tsuen Wan District Officer Ms Yip Kam-ching, Chairman of Tsuen Wan DFCC Mr Chiu Yiu-nin, District Social Welfare Officer (Tsuen Wan/Kwai Tsing) Ms Ma Sau-ching, Chairman of Tsuen Wan District Council Mr Wong Wai-kit, Chairman of Tsuen Wan Rural Committee Mr Yau Kam-ping, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yan Chai Hospital Mr Wong Yin-shun, Convenor of a working group of Tsuen Wan DFCC Mr Lo Siu-kit, representatives from various government departments and members of the community.
