Dear seniors and colleagues,

Hope you are fine. I am "Ah Tsui" from Team 3A of the New Territories South Regional Crime Unit. I am one of the officers who was injured in a recent attack by protesters at the New Town Plaza.

During this period, I am very grateful to colleagues for their concern and care. Some of the colleagues are acquainted with me and some of them did not know me before. Their concern makes me feel that the Police Force is a big and warm family.

There have been many sayings recently about my injuries. I would like to clarify that I was injured in my left eye. At present, the eye is swollen, with blood stasis in it. I have orbital fracture and a broken nose. The doctors told me that only after the blood stasis in my eye is cleared can a surgery be performed. After the surgery, my health condition will be evaluated and I can get my eyesight checked.

Now I have been discharged from hospital and have taken leave to rest at home. Although the doctors did not recommend me to do so, I have to keep my promise to my wife. So I have to be discharged from hospital to prepare for our wedding. I want to allay her worries.

I would also like to thank all the staff and doctors at the Prince of Wales Hospital for their kindness. I am very grateful to them. They are very professional.

I hope all of you will be careful in your work. Don't worry about me. Don't let this affect your emotions. We should continue to show professionalism and endurance and work hard to complete this operation.

Thank you!

Ah Tsui
