Under the arrangement of the Hong Kong Police College, Chief Inspector Yeung Ming-sum led a Force delegation, comprising four Inspectors, five Sergeants and 10 Police Constables, to visit Seoul in Korea between July 8 and 12.
The delegates called on the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and Korea's Central Police Academy to exchange views and experience with local police officers on crime prevention and the application of technology in policing. The delegation also visited Taean Police Station and Taean Coast Guard Station. Korean frontline officers showed their equipment and tools to the delegates while the Korean marine officers shared their experience in marine policing such as law enforcement and the prevention of smuggling.
The visit not only provided a valuable opportunity for the delegates to enhance their professional knowledge, but also strengthened networking between the two police forces.
