In the light of Operation TIDERIDER, the Psychological Services Group (PSG), together with the Carelinks Cadre, police families and retiree volunteers, held a series of expressive arts therapy and play therapy workshops as well as a parents' talk at police officers' quarters and the Police Sports and Recreation Club. The activities aimed to help police spouses and children cope with pressure.

Furthermore, the PSG has published a book entitled "Protecting Police Children in this Time of Difficulties" to provide police colleagues with useful advices on how to support their children in times of social unrest.

In addition, the PSG and the Carelinks Cadre have set up two 24-hour helplines in this period and the scope of counselling services has been extended to family members of police officers.
