The Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch held DIY Gashapon Workshops and Pastel Painting Workshops for police families at their quarters and the Police Sports and Recreation Club in August and September.
The parent and children participants enjoyed designing and making toy capsule vending machines together in gashapon workshops. This not only facilitated parent-child communication, but also built up a neighbourhood support network.
The painting workshops provided opportunities for the participants to create artworks with pastels in a peaceful atmosphere. Through the healing power of soft-colored pastel painting, the participants were able to develop a sense of security and ventilate their emotions about the recent social movement.
