Legislative Councillor Mr Lau Kwok-fan, Tai Po District Councillor Mr Li Kwok-ying, North District Councillor Mr Larm Wai-leung and a group of community leaders presented pennants to Tai Po District (TPDIST) Commander Lee Kwok-chung and his officers on September 27 in recognition of their efficiency and professionalism in detecting five crime cases, including two burglary cases, two theft cases and a case of trafficking in a dangerous drug.

In response to a number of thefts that occurred in Tai Po Market, officers of Task Force Sub-Unit of Tai Po Division mounted an anti-theft operation there on April 4 and spotted a suspicious woman matching the description of the culprit of the thefts. The officers intercepted and arrested the woman. The case was handed over to District Investigation Team 12 (DIT 12) of TPDIST for follow-up action. After investigation, DIT officers found that the arrestee was involved in two theft cases.

Another burglary occurred on May 1, during which a culprit broke into a village house at Fan Leng Lau in Sheung Shui and damaged property therein. After examining the closed circuit television footage, officers of District Intelligence Section of TPDIST promptly arrested the culprit on the following day.
