Yuen Long District (YLDIST) mounted a winter precaution publicity campaign in Yuen Long, Tin Shui Wai and Pat Heung to remind members of the public to stay alert to burglary and seasonal crime.

In mid-December, 2019, Yuen Long Division, Pat Heung Division, Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories North and Police Community Relations Office of YLDIST held a crime prevention publicity event in various villages and Yuen Long town area to raise crime prevention awareness among local residents and shop owners.

Later on December 23, 2019, Tin Shui Wai Divisional Commander Lam Wing-sze, police officers and representatives from Ha Tsuen Rural Committee, Yuen Long District Council and Yuen Long District Fight Crime Committee took part in an anti-crime publicity event. They visited various villages in Ha Tsuen area to distribute leaflets carrying crime prevention and anti-burglary messages to villagers. Ms Lam also reminded villagers to abide by the ordinance relevant to the prohibition of firework.
