The Chief Executive has approved the extension of the service of Mr Yang Joe-tsi as the Commandant of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force (HKAPF) for two years up to January 6, 2022.

Mr Yang joined the HKAPF as a Constable in April 1989. He was promoted to Superintendent (Auxiliary) in October 2004 and was appointed as the Commandant in April 2016.

In recognition of his service with the HKAPF over the years, Mr Yang was awarded the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Long Service Medal with 1st Clasp in 2014 and the Hong Kong Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2017.
