Central District (CDIST) held the 17th Inauguration Ceremony of the CDIST Junior Police Call Honorary President Council cum CDIST Senior Police Call Honorary President Council Christmas Annual Dinner on December 20.


About 300 guests from Central and Western District Council, Central and Western District Fight Crime Committee, Central and Western Road Safety Campaign Committee, government departments, local community groups as well as members of Junior Police Call (JPC) and Senior Police Call attended the ceremony.


Prior to the inauguration ceremony, a cheque presentation ceremony was held to mark the donation by CDIST JPC Honorary President Council to the Police Welfare Fund. Regional Commander of Hong Kong Island Kwok Pak-chung received the cheque on behalf of the Police Welfare Fund. Since June 2019, Honorary Presidents of CDIST JPC have donated supplies and money to the Force in support of police officers' dedication to maintaining law and order. Former Chairman Mr Yip Chun-nam, incumbent Chairman Mr Tong Tai-kam and Vice-chairman Mr Chow Chiu-sheung of CDIST JPC Honorary President Council, hoped that stakeholders in different police districts could support the Force to stop violence, uphold the rule of law and restore social order.


At the event, officiating guests presented appointment certificates to members of the new term of CDIST JPC Honorary President Council. The council comprises six Honorary Life Presidents who have been serving JPC for over 25 years and 28 Honorary Presidents appointed by CDIST Commander Tse Ming-yeung.
