Eastern District (EDIST) held a sharing session with medical officers on January 6. The event was hosted by Deputy Commander of EDIST Yau Sin-man, with the attendance of Cluster Chief Executive of Hong Kong East Cluster cum Hospital Chief Executive of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, Dr Luk Che-chung, and Hospital Chief Executive of Ruttonjee and Tang Shiu-kin Hospitals, Dr Beatrice Cheng. Representatives from Wan Chai District and medical and healthcare officers also took part in the event.

The sharing session aimed to enhance communication and work efficiency through the exchange of ideas between the two parties. Police representatives and medical officers introduced their daily work and shared their cases and concerns. Both sides put forward a number of suggestions beneficial to mutual communication and cooperation. They also provided their means of direct contact to facilitate instant communication in handling unexpected circumstances.

The police thanked medical and healthcare officers for safeguarding the health of Hong Kong people in the fight against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
