Yuen Long District (YLDIST) hosted a liaison meeting with non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) leaders on January 8 to strengthen intelligence gathering and understanding of local policing concerns.
At the meeting, which was chaired by YLDIST Commander Lee Wai-man, officers briefed attendees on local crime trends and the policing strategies. NEC leaders exchanged ideas with officers on local policing concerns and discussed the influence of the recent social unrest on the local NEC community.
Mr Lee Wai-man also talked about strategies in policing public events and reiterated that YLDIST will continue to conduct anti-crime operations and strengthen the cooperation with the NEC community to maintain law and order.
