The Lantau North Police Station recently undertook a series of environmental improvement works aimed at providing a relaxing and comfortable working environment for officers. The project includes upgrading the hygiene condition of refuse collection points in the station, removing abandoned vehicles that cause rodent infestation and setting up a podium garden and a green corner.
The most popular feature of the improvement works is the setting up of a podium garden. The objective of the podium garden is to relieve the stress of colleagues through a greenery scene and comfortable working environment. The improvement work received strong support from the management of Lantau District (LTDIST), and a working group has been formed to recruit officers from all units to participate in the design and construction. After months of hard work, the podium garden was finally completed in May this year and LTDIST officers can now rest and enjoy the greenery.
The improvement project also includes the setting up of a green corner at the station. The green corner provides a sitting place for officers to relax and enjoy light refreshments while sharing work experience.
LTDIST would like to thank all the colleagues who had participated in the project. Their commitment and support has made the environmental improvement project of the Lantau North Police Station a great success.
