Police volleyball teams
Police volleyball teams were invited to participate in the Dr Sun Yat Sen Memorial Cup Volleyball Tournament 2021 at the Shek Kip Mei Park Sports Centre from May to July. Following a series of intense matches, the Police Men’s Volleyball Team and the Police Women’s Volleyball Team won the first runner-up among six teams in their respective groups.
Police volleyball teams practise every Thursday from 7pm to 10pm at the Police Sports and Recreation Club. Force members and their families interested in joining the training may email the Police Volleyball Club at

Tai Po District
Officers of Tai Po District (TPDIST) invited non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) youngsters to take part in a friendly volleyball game on July 12. Safdar, a descendant of Pakistani police officers, invited 10 NEC youngsters to form a girls’ volleyball team called ACES to play against the team of TPDIST. Both teams put in their best efforts and ACES won the game eventually. The game enhanced the friendship between the officers and the NEC youngsters.
After the game, TPDIST Commander Ma Wai-hing presented souvenirs to ACES members and encouraged them to abide by the law and develop positive attitudes through a healthy lifestyle.
Sham Shui Po District
To promote diversity and inclusion in the community, Sham Shui Po District (SSPODIST) held a basketball tournament with Delia Memorial School (Broadway), Kowloon Technical School, Cheung Sha Wan Catholic Secondary School and Concordia Lutheran School on July 23.
Principal of Delia Memorial School (Broadway) Mr Lo Ka-chi officiated at the opening ceremony. After many rounds of fierce competition, Delia Memorial School (Broadway) was crowned as the champion and received awards presented by SSPODIST Commander Ng Lok-chun. The champion team also teamed up with their teachers and had a friendly match with the basketball team of SSPODIST. Apart from strengthening the bonding between the Force and the schools, the event also promoted social inclusion.
