Chief Executive (CE) Mrs Carrie Lam presented honours and awards at the 2021 Honours and Awards Presentation Ceremony at the Government House from November 20 to 22. A total of 77 members of the Force have been recognised in the 2021 Honours Lists, which were announced on July 1 and November 15.
Commissioner Siu Chak-yee, Deputy Commissioner Lau Chi-wai, Senior Assistant Commissioner (SACP) Kwok Yam-yung, Assistant Commissioners (ACPs) Kwok Pak-chung and Kwan Chui-ching were awarded the Hong Kong Police Medal for Distinguished Service. On the other hand, SACP Chow Yat-ming, ACP Kong Hok-lai and 20 other officers received the Hong Kong Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
Furthermore, the late Chief Inspector (Posthumous) Lam Yuen-yee was posthumously awarded the Medal for Bravery (Gold), four officers were awarded the Medal for Bravery (Silver) and four officers were awarded the Medal for Bravery (Bronze). ACPs Cheung Ching, Chan Yee-lai, Tsang Yim-sheung and 29 other officers were presented with the CE’s Commendation for Government/Public Service for their outstanding contribution to the fight against COVID-19. Another eight officers were presented with the CE’s Commendation for Government/Public Service for their outstanding contribution in relation to the handling of social incidents. One officer was presented with the CE’s Commendation for Government/Public Service for her outstanding performance in the Emergency Support Unit of the Security Bureau.
