In response to the International Civil Aviation Organization’s theme on Year of Security Culture, the Airport District, Airport Authority Hong Kong and Aviation Security Company Limited (AVSECO) have jointly launched an outreach programme to promote and enhance aviation security culture for strengthening the awareness of aviation security among the airport community.
The three parties will organise a series of online and offline activities from June to October, including slogan and poster design competition, promotion booths and online quiz. AVSECO’s Canine Unit has also appointed ambassadors to interact with the participants at the booths. Messages related to aviation security, such as the proper use of Airport Restricted Area Permits and prevention of unauthorised persons from entering the restricted area to cause aviation security incidents, are also provided to the airport community through various channels.
