In view of the growing trend in the number of frauds involving foreign domestic helpers (FDH), the Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon West (RCPO KW) has especially designed anti-deception leaflets in Tagalog and Indonesian for FDH. Officers from RCPO KW, Police Community Relations Office of Sham Shui Po District, together with officials from Indonesian Consulates-General and member of Sham Shui Po District Fight Crime Committee, distributed the leaflets in the areas where FDH usually gather on their day off to explain the modus operandi of the scams and caution them against frauds. RCPO KW also discussed with the Indonesian and the Philippine Consulates-General on ways to prevent fraudulent cases and liaised with domestic helper agencies to disseminate anti-deception messages.
