As the pandemic is stablising, Hong Kong Police College endeavours to help Force officers seize overseas training opportunities. Chief Inspectors Tse Tsz-kwan and Lee Gee-jun have been arranged to attend the 46th International Senior Police Officers’ Command Course organised by the Royal Malaysia Police College in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from October 3 to 21. Participants of the course included 42 senior police officers from over 30 jurisdictions of Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe.

The Command Course aimed to establish multi-lateral co-operation amongst participating regions to enhance the leadership skills of participants and raise their awareness of global policing issues by means of lectures, workshops and study tours. All participants were required to submit a thematic report on a designated topic. The Hong Kong representatives presented the up-to-date situation of transnational crimes in Hong Kong. The course sharpened the management and leadership capabilities of the two Chief Inspectors and allowed the Force to establish constructive and long-term working partnership with overseas counterparts.

The Force has resumed overseas development training gradually and dedicates to explore more overseas training opportunities, with a view to increasing the Force’s international presence, enhancing capabilities of officers across ranks and widening their horizons to project the professional image of the Force and tell the world good stories of Hong Kong.
