Railway District (RAILDIST) and the MTR Corporation (MTRC), together with the Police Community Relations Offices (PCRO) of Wong Tai Sin District, Kowloon City District, Mong Kok District, Kwai Tsing District and Eastern Districts jointly organised the Reactivation of Project RAILWATCH Ceremony on November 26.

Aligning with the Force’s recent anti-deception campaign for all, the objective of this event was for the Force and the public to join hands in promoting anti-deception messages. Acting Regional Commander of Kowloon East Mark Anstiss was the officiating guest to present certificate of appointment to 71 youngsters as Railway Anti-crime Ambassadors (RAILWATCHers), all of whom were aged between 5 and 23 from Project Gemstone in 23 primary and secondary schools as well as universities.

The MTRC representatives and officers of RAILDIST led the RAILWATCHers to visit the MTRC Operations Control Centre and the RAILDIST Police Control Room respectively. Afterwards, the MTRC representatives and officers of PCRO of participating Districts distributed anti-deception leaflets in Wong Tai Sin, Kowloon Tong, Central, Lai King and Tsing Yi MTR stations respectively to promote anti-deception messages.
