The Force Escort Group (FEG) organised the FEG Police Motorcycle VIP Escort Training Course between April 23 and 27. In addition to 11 new FEG recruits, officers from other places also attended the course. The Escort Team of Traffic Department of the Public Security Police Force of Macao sent five officers to join the course for preparing the escort operations of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region next year. It was also the first time that the Traffic Police Department of Singapore Police Force sent four officers to join the training course since 2013.
The course was conducted by the Officer-in-charge of FEG Superintendent Chik Ming-yam and Station Sergeant of FEG Headquarters Team Lo Chi-cheong. The contents covered the roles and duties of FEG, motorcade escort concept, planning and execution of escort operations, demonstration of riding skills and simulation of VIP escorts. The officers discussed profoundly on escort tactics and skills, as well as aspects of vehicles and equipment. The parties also shared invaluable experience from previous escort operations. At the end of the course, Chik Ming-yam presented the certificate of course completion to the officers.
