Wong Tai Sin District (WTSDIST) developed the interactive big data analytics e-platform DeTECH with the support of the Innovation and Solution Lab (ISLAB) of Information Systems Wing. It has been made available to WTSDIST officers on a trial basis since September 9. DeTECH visually presents the figures, black spots and trend analysis of crimes in the form of charts for officers to master the latest situation conveniently via the platform and formulate effective strategies and measures for combatting and preventing crimes.

Officers of WTSDIST and ISLAB jointly held three workshops for 48 representatives from the Regional Intelligence Units of Kowloon East and Kowloon West and 11 Districts on September 14 and 15 to introduce the application of DeTECH in various scenarios.

WTSDIST will continue its collaboration with ISLAB to further enhance DeTECH and proactively promote the big data technology to the Districts.
