District Commander of Kwai Tsing District Tam Nga-ching attended the Management Development Programme offered by the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore between November 14 and 24, 2023. The trainees comprised about 20 senior administrative officers from various countries and regions. The programme, which focused equally on theory and practice, was committed to cultivating the trainees into new leaders who could effectively lead and manage teams for continuous development. The trainees had to make preparation before classes, discuss hot topics in class, apply the learned concepts to their missions and interact with the instructors to enhance their administrative and management skills.
The then Deputy District Commander (DDC) of Sau Mau Ping District (SMPDIST) Justin Shave attended the High Performance Leadership Programme offered by International Institute for Management Development at its Singapore campus between November 5 and 10, 2023. The programme focused on secure-base leadership, dialogue and conflict resolution skills. The attendees, who were high-level executives in the public or private sectors from different parts of the world, shared experience among themselves to enhance individual leadership capabilities.
Germany
The Police College arranged Superintendent Chiu Wai-ming to visit Germany between November 7 and 10, 2023 to attend the “Leading with Psychological Intelligence” course, an overseas development programme organised by the European School of Management and Technology. The course aimed to enhance the leadership and interpersonal skills of the trainees to help them manage individuals from a diverse background and foster productive and effective working relationships. The participants shared their leadership experience and exchanged views on challenges in change management.
