The Studio ImmerXe, an immersive scenario training system of the Police College (the College), has won a Silver Award in the Brandon Hall Group Excellence in the Technology Awards Program 2023 under the category of Best Advance in Education Delivered through Technology. The award is a leading award scheme in the industry which recognises organisations globally that have successfully deployed technologies to learning.
Studio ImmerXe, the cylindrical visual projection system located at the Force Library, projects 3D panoramic imagery on a screen in a 360-degree environment. The College, Police Tactical Unit and Complaints Against Police Office are conducting regular immersive scenario training with this system to provide the trainees with an environment with a high sense of realism for receiving training in a safe and controlled setting.
