The Police Tactical Unit (PTU) conducted a campus counter-terrorism (CT) exercise on February 2, simulating a scenario where criminals infiltrated Ta Ku Ling Ling Ying Public School during its open day and launched attacks and arson. Officers of PTU swiftly arrived at the scene, subdued the criminals, and safely evacuated the students and teachers.

Over 200 officers and 100 students and teachers participated in this exercise, successfully testing the capabilities of PTU trainees in handling emergencies. It also enhanced communication and co-ordination between the police and the school, and strengthened the teachers’ and students’ understanding of the response tactics “Run, Hide, Report”.
