APTDIST


Commissioner Siu Chak-yee, accompanied by District Commander of Airport District (APTDIST) Yip Pun-yu, visited APTDIST on March 18 and toured “11 SKIES”, the composite development project located at SKYCITY. The Commissioner was later briefed by the APTDIST management on the new District Operations Room and was updated on the policing challenges and community development after APTDIST had taken over the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port. He recognised the strategies and measures of APTDIST.


In addition, the Commissioner discussed with frontline officers about the challenges they faced in their daily duties, and responded to officers’ questions on the Force’s development, work procedures, human resources management, welfare, and so on. Stressing that he would give full support to the work of the frontline staff, the Commissioner reminded them to be empathetic in dealing with members of the public seeking assistance and to discharge their duties in a professional manner.


BORDIST


Commissioner Siu Chak-yee visited Border District (BORDIST) on March 27. In the company of the District Commander of BORDIST Lau King-lun, the Commissioner toured Sha Tau Kok closed area. He was briefed by the District management on the unique characteristics of the District and related policing challenges. The Commissioner also went to BORDIST headquarters to exchange views with frontline uniformed and criminal investigation officers to understand their working condition and responded to questions about their operations and welfare. Finally, he encouraged frontline officers to continue gaining public trust and support through their daily policing work.
