The Critical Infrastructure Security Coordination Centre (CISCC) hosted a security seminar with the theme “Guarding Our City‧Building Our Future” at the Police Headquarters on March 12, attracting attendance of over 250 critical infrastructure stakeholders from public and private sectors.


The seminar aimed to strengthen counter terrorism (CT) awareness of the industry and its response to challenges from insider threat, to promote supply chain security and cybersecurity, and to encourage the industry to formulate standard operating procedures, contingency measures and recovery plans for enhancing the security level and resilience of their personnel, system and facilities to ensure continuous operation and minimise adverse impact on their key businesses upon interruption of various degree.


Professionals from the Security Bureau, Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau, Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit, Major Incidents Bureau and CISCC shared on CT and security topics. Dean of Engineering of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Prof Lo Hong-kam, the key guest speaker of the seminar, analysed the resilience of Hong Kong’s transportation network. Moreover, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau and Counter Terrorism Response Unit also showcased their equipment and interacted with the industry at the venue.
