New Territories South (NTS) invited Commissioner Siu Chak-yee to attend NTS’s workshop on Extended Interview (EI) and Final Interview Board (FIB) for probationary inspector applicants on April 10 and to share his views with potential applicants. Hosted by Assistant District Commander (Administration) of Shatin District Simon Southgate and Training and Staff Relations Officer of NTS Mak Ka-po, the workshop was physically attended by over 30 participants whilst over 50 participants joined the workshop online.

The Commissioner shared his insight on how to prepare for EI and FIB, as well as the key qualities he believed all police leaders should demonstrate. He also emphasised the importance of being a respectable leader and visible leadership. The attendees also interchanged with the Commissioner on various subjects.

The EI and FIB workshops for probationary inspector applicants have been held since March 2020 for over 500 members, among whom 120 have passed their FIB and 70 have become probationary inspectors.
