The Police Tactical Unit Headquarters conducted an Emergency Unit Composite Company Field Day Exercise on April 5, simulating a series of internal security (IS) and counter-terrorism (CT) incidents occurring in Tseung Kwan O. EU and Counter Terrorism Response Unit (CTRU) officers swiftly arrived at the scene, subdued the criminals and evacuated affected persons in an orderly manner.

Over 200 officers participated in this exercise, successfully testing the capabilities of EU and CTRU officers in handling IS and CT situations. The exercise also enhanced communication and co-ordination between the units.
