The Police Mentorship Programme (PMP) 2023/24 Awards Ceremony was held on March 28, attended by over 100 mentors, mentees and project officers. Many mentees participated in internships in different units or formations of the Force between winter 2022 and summer 2023, with projects covering topic research, event planning and information technology.

After completing their internship, the mentees submitted reports on what they had seen and learned at work. The 197 reports were first evaluated by representatives from mentors of the respective chapters and then passed to the Human Resources Branch for selection of the top 10 awardees. The best three mentees were invited to give a presentation at the ceremony for the judging panel led by Head Mentor cum Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Chan Man-tak to assess and determine the gold, silver and bronze awards.

Following the ceremony, the mentees visited the Emergency Unit of Hong Kong Island to gain insights into the unit’s equipment and daily operations.
