The Marine Police Mentorship Programme (MPMP) Orientation and Information Day, with Deputy Regional Commander of Marine (MAR) Ip Che-man, Senior Superintendent (Administration) of MAR Yau Sin-man and Head Mentor of MPMP Yu Fu-keung being the officiating guests, was held on March 9. Officers arranged for the mentees a sharing session, a tour around Police College and a demonstration of physical test. The Small Boat Division and Unmanned Aircraft System Team also set up booths to display their equipment and explain the work of MAR.

MPMP, which has been launched since 2011, has recruited over 1 000 mentees hitherto, with over 80 of them having joined the Force. MAR will continue establishing closer communication with various organisations to recruit people aspiring to join marine police work as MPMP mentees.
