To celebrate the 180th anniversary of the Force, the Police Volleyball Club (PVC) held Men’s and Women’s Disciplined Services Volleyball Invitational Tournaments on March 14 and 23 respectively. Volleyball athletes from Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, Correctional Services Department (CSD), Customs and Excise Department (C&ED), Fire Services Department (FSD), and Immigration Department (ImmD) came together for competition of their volleyball skills.


In the men’s division, ImmD clinched the championship, followed by FSD and CSD, with the Force ranked fourth. In the women’s division, the Force secured the championship while CSD, ImmD and C&ED took the second, third, and fourth places respectively. President of the Volleyball Association of Hong Kong, China Mr Wilfred Ng and Honorary Vice-president of PVC Dr Malcolm Lam presented the prizes and cheered on the athletes.


Chairperson of PVC Tse Tsui-yan expressed honour in having the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department participate in the tournament to celebrate the 180th anniversary of the Force, which showcased the enduring mutual friendship between the two places. She looked forward to more opportunities to hold friendly matches and engage in exchanges with athletes from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.


PVC conducts training at Police Sports and Recreation Club from 7pm to 10pm every Thursday. Force members and their families interested in joining the training may contact Senior Inspector Jackie (Tel: 6050-4211).
