With the typhoon season around the corner, Tseung Kwan O District (TKODIST) organised a briefing on April 23 to enhance the operational efficiency and competency of frontline officers in handling extreme weather situations. More than 30 officers from Patrol Sub-unit, Task Force Sub-unit (TFSU), Operations Support Sub-unit, Administration Support Sub-unit, Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit, Police Community Relations Office and the Special Duties Squad attended the briefing.

TFSU Commander of TKODIST Man Lap-hang introduced to the officers the newly procured protective clothing and life-saving equipment for effective operations in extreme weather situations. District Commander of TKODIST Mak Man-yu also shared previous operational experience and salient points from last year’s symposium on Inter-Departmental Collaboration for Coping with Extreme Weather. He reminded frontline officers that they should get prepared and be ready to save life and property during extreme weather.
