Mong Kok District (MKDIST) held its first Project TORCH Orientation Day on April 26, attracting almost 200 new members.


The event kicked off with a briefing by District Commander of MKDIST Ng Chi-chung on the necessary traits and attitude of applicants, followed by sharing of experience by Senior Superintendent of Human Resources Branch Ho Siu-kai and Chief Inspector of Recruitment Division (RECDIV) Ng Cheuk-fung about the recruitment process. Consultation counters were also set up for officers of RECDIV and volunteer instructors of Project TORCH to answer questions raised by members. Several fitness stations were also available for participants to try out different fitness tests set by volunteer instructors. Up to 2023, Project TORCH has successfully assisted over a hundred members in joining the Force.
