Crime Prevention Bureau (CPB) participated in Asian Securitex Conference 2024 held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 8 to 10. The conference, being a major event in the security industry in Asia, attracted participation of over 1 000 security practitioners. Hot topics such as cyber security, AI, technology of Internet of Things products and transformation in security operations were discussed in the conference. The Force and a number of international security associations explored advanced technology and trends to help stakeholders identify security vulnerabilities and modify response protocols.


In addition to being a member of the conference’s organising committee, CPB collaborated with the Anti-Deception Coordination Centre, Critical Infrastructure Security Coordination Centre and Regional Crime Prevention Offices in setting up booths at the venue to broadcast publicity and educational video clips in various domains to disseminate crime prevention messages and promote Scameter+. Officers from Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau were arranged to explain the latest technology and cyber security threats. A number of representatives of the security industry were also invited to speak on related topics. The Force will continue to strengthen communication and co-operation with stakeholders of the security industry to promote exchange of information on crime prevention.
