To further promote community involvement, Hong Kong Island (HKI) worked in close partnership with the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) in the last six months and implemented a great number of projects which fostered intergeneration harmony and police-community relations.

In addition to conducting an inter-departmental major incident exercise at Happy Valley Racecourse last November, HKJC arranged Junior Police Call (JPC) members from four HKI districts to visit Tuen Mun Public Riding School, Apprentice Jockeys’ School and Sha Tin Equine Hospital in the first quarter of this year, making HKI the first police formation that visited the facilities in Sha Tin Equine Hospital. Moreover, HKJC fully supported the Force in organising national security educational events and arranged a guided tour of Tai Kwun for Senior Police Call members.

Furthermore, the Regional Crime Prevention Office and Traffic of HKI will stage seminars in Tai Kwun respectively to promote crime prevention and anti-deception messages and road safety awareness.
