To actively build strategic partnership with law enforcement agencies along the Belt and Road countries, Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chan Joon-sun (DCP MAN) led a 14-member delegation to visit the Republic of Uzbekistan (Uzbekistan) from June 3 to 7. It was the first time for the Force to visit Uzbekistan for training and exchange.


The Head of Academy of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) briefed the delegation on its police training facilities and had a meeting with DCP MAN. Both sides expressed their expectation to develop a long-term co-operative relationship and promote training and exchange between police officers from the two places. The delegation also visited the Traffic Safety Department of Public Security Department of MIA, Command and Operational Centre and Public Relations Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent City, Safe Tourism Department of Internal Affairs of Samarkand Region to study their organisational structures and working situations. The delegation and local officers shared the policing development and challenges faced in their respective jurisdiction.


During the visit, the Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan Mr Yu Jun met the delegation, affirming the successful outcome of this visit.
