To celebrate the 180th anniversary of the Force, the Police Volleyball Club (PVC) hosted the Inter-Disciplinary Forces Beach Volleyball Invitational Tournament on May 18, attracting over 80 athletes from the Force, Fire Services Department, Immigration Department, Customs and Excise Department, and Correctional Services Department. In addition to promoting exchange among athletes from the disciplinary forces, the tournament enhanced the officers’ solidarity. Besides, Senior Inspector Wong Chun-on, partnered with an officer’s dependent Chan Shun-hang, won the Force’s first ever gold medal in the 27th Hong Kong Open Beach Volleyball Championships (Division B) held in April. PVC conducts training at Police Sports and Recreation Club from 7pm to 10pm every Thursday. Force members and their families interested in joining the training may contact Senior Inspector Jackie (6050-4211).
