To enhance students’ awareness of explosives and their interest in policing work, Police Ambassadors of Project LEGACY and Police Community Relations Office of Central District arranged a visit to the base of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau for over 20 teachers and students of St Paul’s Co-educational College on July 5.

In addition to introducing the Force’s work in dealing with illegal explosives and displaying professional bomb disposal equipment, the officers also arranged the students to observe demonstrations of different simulated explosive detonations in the base for the students to experience the power of different explosives and understand the handling of different types of explosives so as to enhance the response ability of the teachers and students should they encounter emergencies.

Participants are briefed on the dealing with illegal explosives.
