The Police Community Relations Office and the Community Engagement Cadre of Border District (BORDIST) inaugurated the opening ceremony of its outdoor carnival “Bring The Little Grape to Sha Tau Kok” at Sha Tau Kok on May 19. With the support of Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, District Officer (North), Heung Yee Kuk, North District Councillors and Sha Tau Kok District Rural Committee, the event attracted over a thousand citizens and volunteers from the Junior Police Call and Senior Police Call.

Regional Commander of New Territories North Lam Man-han and District Commander of BORDIST Lau King-lun officiated at the opening ceremony. Both commanders emphasised the importance of protecting the property of our citizens and pointed out the important role played by the Force’s anti-scam mascot, “The Little Grape”, in crime prevention. The carnival, with “The Little Grape” as its theme, delivered anti-deception messages to the public through murals, installation art and booth games.
