The first delegation of Mainland exchange programme for civilian staff was held on July 30. Senior Police Translator Tsoi Hau-ming led 19 civilian officers comprising four Police Translators, ten Police Communications Officers and five Traffic Wardens to visit Dongguan for one day. Chief Inspector of Police College Lau Ka-yip also accompanied the delegation for co-ordination.
The delegates had interactive exchange with the local officers and were given a guided tour of Dongguan Exhibition Center, Dongguan citizen service center, Dongguan Public Security Bureau (PSB) cultural center and traffic police bureau to have in-depth insights into the organisational structure and daily work of the Dongguan PSB. The delegates also visited the local citizen service center to understand the strategies and perspectives of the one-stop service counter. The programme provided an excellent opportunity for civilian officers to broaden their law enforcement perspectives and strengthen the connection between the two places.
