To strengthen the command and communication capabilities of auxiliary commanders in crowd management operations, Auxiliary Support Bureau incorporates tabletop exercises in their Annual Continuous Training. The exercises simulate festive crowd management operations in which auxiliary commanders are required to formulate plans and give operational briefings to officers under their command. There are also different scenarios and emergency situations in the exercises to test the auxiliary commanders’ capabilities in resource management and response to unexpected incidents so that they can provide appropriate support to the frontline officers during operations.
