The Junior Police Call (JPC) organised its first live-round shooting experience day at the Police Sports and Recreation Club between August 1 and 8. It was the first time for a youth uniformed group of disciplined forces to hold such event. 24 Advanced Leaders and Leaders who had received Gold Star of JPC Award Scheme joined the activity.

The participants first learned the range safety rules, disciplinary regulations, basic knowledge of revolvers, various commands and standard operating procedures at a firing range. Guided by Chairperson of the Police Shooting Club (PSC) Chu Man-lung, PSC coach, member of the Hong Kong shooting team Lee Wai-kin and other instructors, the participants practised live-round revolver shooting. They agreed that the activity helped cultivate their ability to remain calm and focused. It also strengthened their determination to join the Force.
