Kowloon East (KE)’s Zero Distance Family Day 2024 was held at the KE Regional Headquarters (KE RHQ) on August 24. The event, which attracted participation of 450 officers and their family members, served to enhance the family members’ knowledge of policing work. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Regional Commander of KE Dr Law Yuet-wing thanked the family members for their support to officers and expressed his gratitude to the organising units.

KE RHQ was opened to family members for the first time. The venues included KE Higher Command Centre, Identification Parade Room and Indoor Firing Range. There were booths on site, displaying information about the KE Crime Prevention Unit and Missing Persons Unit, equipment of the Emergency Unit and Traffic, anti-scam mascot “The Little Grape” and mini police car, etc. The Police Dog Unit and Force Drone Cadre also conducted demonstrations on the spot. Participants could take photos and collect plenty of souvenirs at various locations.
