Aberdeen Division, in collaboration with the Housing Department, Home Affairs Department, the District Services and Care Team in the Southern District, members of the Southern District Council and Legislative Council, visited over 100 elderly individuals residing alone on September 2, aiming to gain a deeper understanding of the difficulties encountered by the elderly in their daily lives, to explain the latest tactics employed by culprits and scammers, and to introduce Scameter+ etc. In addition, the officers also briefed the elderly on the characteristics of illegal debt collectors and spread the message of “Spot and Report” to enhance the senior citizens’ awareness of fraud and crime prevention.
