The Service Quality Wing, which has been committed to facilitating the strategic planning of Strategic Directions 2025-2027, organised the Commissioner Rank Officers’ Strategic Planning Conference at the Senior Officers’ Mess on October 2.

Commissioner Siu Chak-yee pointed out in his opening address that given the rapid changes in the operation environment, the Force needed to prepare adequately for potential challenges. He stressed the importance of the conference in the entire strategic planning process. He hoped that through collective efforts of the conference attendees, a set of pragmatically viable strategic directions and strategic objectives could be formulated for the Force’s future development.

The attendees thoroughly examined a range of strategic issues that might affect the Force in the future and made risk assessment for formulating relevant response approaches to lead the Force to address future challenges.

The attendees discussed actively, exchanged views and considered the issues prudently. In the light of the discussion result from this conference, the Commissioner and the Senior Directorate Group will set the next Strategic Directions in their Strategic Planning Review Conference to be held in December.
